Managing Your Choices

Managing your life means managing your choices. I make choices everyday. From what I am going to wear to school to what restaurant I want to eat dinner at. Life is full of choices. I believe that I do have control over the choices that I make. I choose to use the life I’ve been given to excel at my studies and to be a successful collegiate golfer. Being in college, I don’t have my parents telling me what to do 24/7. I don’t have to make my bed or clean my room, but I do it anyways because that is how I have been brought up. I am very organized, so I choose to keep my room clean. I enjoy school so I choose to finish my homework in a timely manner and make sure that I don’t procrastinate too much. I choose to have a social life while also focusing on my school work. I choose to be sober and to show others that you can have a fun time without alcohol. Many times I will choose going to practice golf by myself over hanging out with friends. Furthermore, I will decline going to a movie with friends so I can keep my healthy eight hours of sleep. Everyday I strive to be the best and the only way that is possible is by making correct and smart choices. With every choice made there is a consequence, however, and I do think before I act.
It is important to use your gifts and talents in the future to allow others to benefit as well. Simply, showing off your "better" version of yourself to change the way society views themselves. I am good at math and various sciences, so in the future I will use my knowledge for good. I plan on becoming a sport’s psychologist, so I will teach athletes to excel at the mental side of their specific sport. I will continue to play golf and help others learn how to play the wonderful game. I want to teach others things I have learned over the years so they don’t make the same mistakes that I made growing up. I am a good problem solver as well. I will work to make sure that if there is a problem I will work to find a solution which is beneficial for both sides in the matter. In the future, I will help others because I am a caring person and hopefully, I will be a role model for others. I've always looked up to others for guidance and I believe that I will be successful when I have others looking up to me for advice.
